The divine right of kings

The death of an individual is without question one of the most traumatic expereinces for the next of kin. The death of the queen, it seems has the potential to awaken grief of the masses. This mass grief is without doubt fuelled by the superficial blanket coverage from the media.

However the speed of events are quite amazing. We have a king and a prime minister, who both are not elected and one has to raise the question are these the best people to fill the positions they have. I personally would rather have princess Anne as Queen.

What is more amazing, in the current situation a lot of people who are going to have trouble heating, buying food are in awe of someone, who has lived a life of luxury at their cost. The queen had a fortune in the realms of 340 million pounds sterling. We are told how profound her faith was and how it gave her great strength.

I am sorry, but I am missing something here. As in a previous blog, we talked about the sevice on the mount, what is there not to understand in Jesus's preaching. With 340 million pounds, how much suffering could have been allievated. We hear 70 years of service.

Did she work to have to put food on the table, pay the heating, etc etc. No, a royal yacht, private trains, aeroplanes, servants to do the dirty work. A life of luxury, how many people would be able to do what she did and live as long, if they had such a support behind them.

The sense of destiny of the queen dying in Balmoral. Another sentimental tale in our history full of neverending sentimental nonsense. One can say forget the past, lay the past aside. When there has been so much injustice, so much suffering and inequality in the past and in the present, it is not possible to forget the past, if there is no atonement. There never has been atonement from the monarch for the suffering caused.

On saturday, the declaration of the king and his oath to protect the church of Scotland. The church of Scotland, who do they represent in Scotland, who does this king represent in Scotland other than mindless fawning sycophants. Their god is dead, has long been dead, deserted them ages ago, if they have a god, it is the devil.
